This week we will be continuing our lessons about self discipline and self control. This gets a little confusing for some of he younger students because they both start with the word self. I like to talk about these ones a lot to really make sure they don't get them confused. What is great is that we talk about ways we use this at home and at school. My goal is for all of my students to be able to tell you what self control and self discipline is and then also be able to tell you a way to use it at home and at school. These are the kinds of lessons we teach in our classes.
I love keeping classes fun and educational. This week we have a fun drill called heart breaker. We have a ton of big paper hearts cut out of paper and we practice our punches and kicks on them. The fun part is you have to try and rip the paper with your punch and kick. It makes a great sound when you hit the paper and it is surprisingly difficult to rip a piece of paper with a punch or a kick. Oh yes, by the way we are only holding the paper with one hand :)
